A Stochastic Multi-Objective Approach to Pilot Bus Selection for Secondary Voltage Regulation

This letter presents a multi-objective probabilistic model for the optimal selection of pilot buses in secondary voltage regulation (SVR) of transmission grids. The pilot-bus selection (PS) problem is formulated in the form of a stochastic multi-objective optimization problem (SMOP). The resultant S...

Description
Summary:This letter presents a multi-objective probabilistic model for the optimal selection of pilot buses in secondary voltage regulation (SVR) of transmission grids. The pilot-bus selection (PS) problem is formulated in the form of a stochastic multi-objective optimization problem (SMOP). The resultant SMOP is solved toward the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II) together with a fuzzy set theory. The applicability of the proposed PS model is examined on a classical test system as well as a practical transmission grid.
