Summary: | Trends in understanding the mechanisms of solids contact in precision tribosystems are generalized in this work. It is noted that the dual nature of friction remains one of the main problems in tribology. This is because the theory of contact interaction at relative motion of solids must include not only approaches of the mechanics of deformable solids, but also physical models of surface effects. It is shown that the development of precision tribosystems requires further advancement in the theory of friction, numerical models, and experimental studies on the scale factor in processes of contact interaction. |
