Summary:The influential factors in decreasing the quality of marital relations among Iranian couples during the first three months were assessed. There were significant differences in marital relationship quality (MRQ) outcomes at 0, 1, and 3 months based on the revised dyadic adjustment scale (RDAS) questionnaire. A substantial reduction in MRQ within three months of total assessment was determined as the RDAS values at 1- and 3-months post-marriage were 55.88 and 53.82, respectively.
