Description
Summary:A porous ceramic based on clay and nonplastic aluminosilicate raw material of Uzbekistan was prepared by slip casting. Molding was conducted using a foaming agent — technical foam and sawdust, which stabilized the structure, followed by firing at 1300 – 1350°C. The effect of different fillers on the physical and technical properties and microstructure of the samples was studied after sintering. It was determined that ceramic with density 700 – 900 kg/m 3 and strength 1.6 – 11.0 MPa can be obtained by foam technology with foam content ranging from 15 to 25 wt.%. Porous samples with the finest grain and pore structure were obtained on the basis of Samarkand chamotte.
