Summary:The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) estimates that the number of international tourists will drop by 60% this year, reducing tourism's contribution to global gross domestic product (GDP) and affecting countries where it is a substantial part of the national economy. Three further targets - achieving universal health coverage, bolstering the health workforce and strengthening the capacity of early-warning systems for global health risks - will slow the cascading impacts of COVID-19 in low-income nations.
