Description
Summary:The two-dimensional problem on the diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave of ТМ-type on a nanostructure composed of a square silver plate with an inserted square glass nanofiber was considered. In the optical region of wavelengths, the short- and long-range fields and the scattering spectra were calculated by rigorous numerical methods. The effect of silver losses, the thickness of structure walls, and the incidence angle of a plane polarized TM-wave on the resonances of plasmons was studied. The splitting and degeneration of quadrupole and dipole resonances were shown to occur in such a structure.
