Summary: | Describing the dependence of both signal propagation delay and pixel charging time on display specifications and device parameters, a timing model and a combined coordinate system for its convenient visualization are developed for an active-matrix display. Presented also is an algorithm developed to optimally determine the width of the interconnects and that of the address transistor for maximizing the aperture ratio of a pixel. The model could be applied to search for optimal viable designs under different panel specifications and technology constraints. |
