Summary: | When assessing possible seismic impacts, the important ground motion parameters are the level and duration of seismic vibrations. Based on the earthquake records at the Petropavlovsk seismic station (Kamchatka), expressions are obtained for calculating the maximum amplitude of horizontal acceleration, the duration of the area of vibration section at a level of 0.5 of the maximum amplitude, the RMS amplitude in four frequency bands, and the boundaries of the frequency band in which the maximum accelerations are observed. The calculations used records of 75 regional earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.9−8.3. |
