Description
Summary:A radioabsorbing structure shielding a metal plane in the form of a ferrite layer with a dielectric layer containing a grating of resistive squares has been considered. The diffraction problem of a plane electromagnetic wave incident perpendicular to the surface of the structure has been solved. Based on the solution of the optimization problem, it is shown that, in contrast to the ferrite layer, which has a low reflection coefficient in the decimeter and meter wavelength ranges, a combined structure with a total thickness of less than 5 cm provides low reflection in the centimeter range.
