Description
Summary:Quill mite fauna of the genus Meitingsunes Glowska and Skoracki, 2010 associated with birds of the order Columbiformes is revised. Two new species are described: Meitingsunes ptilinopus sp. nov. from Ptilinopus magnificus (Temminck) in Australia and Papua New Guinea and from P. rivoli (Prévost) in Papua New Guinea, and M. lengai sp. nov. from Columba delegorguei Delegorgue in Tanzania, Streptopelia semitorquata (Rüppell) in Tanzania, and Streptopelia orientalis (Latham) in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
