Binary mixtures of nonionic gemini-surfactants surfynol® 400 series with sodium lauryl sulfate. Wetting of the low-energy surface

Wetting of low-energy surfaces (teflon) by the aqueous solutions of binary mixtures of nonionic gemini surfactants Surfynol® 400 series with different degree of oxyethylation (30, 10, 3.5 and 1.3, respectively) with the anionic one sodium lauryl sulfate at the molar fraction of Surfynol® α=0.2, 0.4,...

Description
Summary:Wetting of low-energy surfaces (teflon) by the aqueous solutions of binary mixtures of nonionic gemini surfactants Surfynol® 400 series with different degree of oxyethylation (30, 10, 3.5 and 1.3, respectively) with the anionic one sodium lauryl sulfate at the molar fraction of Surfynol® α=0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 was studied in the wide concentration range. The extent of mutual enhancement of the wetting ability depends on the oxyethylation degree of nonionic gemini surfactant and its molar fraction in the mixture. This phenomenon was shown in all concentration ranges except binary mixtures at the molar fraction of Surfynol® α = 0.8 at concentrations higher than their CMC values.
