Experimental investigation on interfacial properties and wettability of MgFe2O4 nanofluids
Stable MgFe2O4 nanofluids of various concentrations have been synthesised through two step method. Tuneable interfacial properties with respect to concentration are explored by contact angle measurement. Formation of MgFe2O4 nanoparticles is confirmed with X-ray diffraction analysis. Summary: | Stable MgFe2O4 nanofluids of various concentrations have been synthesised through two step method. Tuneable interfacial properties with respect to concentration are explored by contact angle measurement. Formation of MgFe2O4 nanoparticles is confirmed with X-ray diffraction analysis. Surface morphology of MgFe2O4 nanoparticles analysed through TEM micrographs reveals that the particles are spherical in shape with the particle size 32 nm. The sessile drop method is utilized to examine the surface characterises through drop shape analysis. Bond number results the interfacial tension in order to verify the practical utility of the nanofluid. |
