Summary:A bi-layered chiral metamaterial working in the microwave regime is reported and their constitutive parameters such as chirality and refractive index are obtained for circularly polarized electromagnetic waves based on parameter retrieval procedure. Chirality computation reveals the strong circular dichroic regimes of the proposed MTM and designed chiral MTM shows left-handed behavior for right and left circularly polarized waves. The present study is useful for the realization of polarization devices at microwave frequencies.
