Structural, magnetic and electrical properties of Pd2MnGa

Summary: | We report structural, magnetic and electrical properties of Pd2MnGa Heusler alloy. The alloy is found to crystallize in the cubic structure with Fm-3m space group and lattice parameter a ∼ 6.12 A. Magnetization measurement showed ferromagnetic type transition, but the paramagnetic Curie temperature is about -116 K and effective magnetic moment of 4.47 µB/f.u. The ferromagnetic transition is found to be at about 197 K. Electrical resistivity of the alloy suggests the metallic behavior with a magnetic transition around the magnetic transition. |
