Summary: | Following the discussion by C. Zhou, X. Zhang, and Z. Wang (2020), the fast exchange model is applied to quantify the gel pore size and interlayer distance under drying. The water vapor Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area and amount of interlayer water are used for the surface relaxivity and the changes in gel pore size and interlayer spacing were quantified. The obtained changes of gel pore size, interlayer distance, and interlayer spaces under different RH conditions correspond well to the Kelvin equation. |
