Description
Summary:Considering that alternative sources of fuel are required in the world because of the deficiency of fossil fuels and increased emissions, an effective biofuel is required. This paper's main purpose is to produce biofuels under a variety of process conditions from chicken slaughter wastes. Usually, the feedstock used for this experiment consists of chicken feet, feathers, head and all other inedible parts. The experiment is conducted by slow Pyrolysis methods that are carried at higher temperatures (500°C) in the absense of oxygen. The bio-oil properties obtained from the process were analyzed and biofuel is tested in DI Diesel engine. The biofuel produced has a low emission rate and a decline in the fuel price. Biochar is produced as a by-product during the experiment that could be used as bio-fertilizer due to the rich nitrogen content to improve the soil quality.
