Summary: | In this work the study of the structure and mechanical properties of a cylindrical sample from Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, produced by the electron-beam additive manufacturing method was carried out. It was shown that the formed structure is represented by coarse columnar grains oriented in the heat dissipation direction due to the cyclic temperature effect. It was revealed that the thermal cycling has a negative effect on tensile properties of the material, resulting in the ultimate tensile strength not exceeding 650 MPa. |
