Summary: | The influence of the distribution law of a measured quantity on the width of the guard band in assessment of compliance is considered. The advantages and drawbacks of the existing algorithm for evaluating the expanded uncertainty of measurements described in current regulatory documents are analyzed. Features in assessment of uncertainty in calibrations of measuring instruments on the potential for the use of the kurtosis method for calculating uncertainty are investigated. The proposed approach is used for examples described in Supplement 2 to European Accreditation Organization Document EA-4/02 M:2013. |
