Summary: | DEVELOPED WITHIN THE CONTEXT of the research group L’Imaginaire botanique, this special issue of L’Esprit Créateur on the topic of Plant Studies seeks to share the diverse works of its participants, while opening the field to new perspectives.1 Carefully examining a corpus of contemporary francophone narratives (1980 to present) in which plants play a significant role, its principal objective is to show that literature participates in the blossoming of a more dynamic and respectful relationship with the vegetal world, based on ecological awareness. In this regard, we aim to develop a botanical approach to literature, following a few principles that we present here. |
