Description
Summary:Some coal seams have loose textures and developed beddings, so it is difficult to obtain samples to study their mechanics and permeability characteristics. However, it is possible to carry out related research by using remoulded coal instead of raw coal. With polyvinyl acetate emulsion as a binder, remoulded coals were obtained by different preparation processes and quantified using the cosine similarity method. The results show that remoulded coals, which were prepared with a 10% binder concentration, 50 °C drying temperature, 1:1 water-binder ratio and 60-MPa forming pressure, are similar to the raw coal in this case. Changing the binder concentration, drying temperature, water-binder ratio and forming pressure can improve the mechanics and permeability characteristics of remoulded coals, which informs related experimental research.
