Description
Summary:Due to the characteristics of the underwater acoustic channel environment, the development of underwater acoustic communication is faced with the problems of low information transmission rate, small capacity and poor reliability. The latest research shows that orbital angular momentum (OAM) carried by the acoustic vortex field opens up a new degree of freedom of underwater acoustic communication (UAC). In this paper, we first study the basic principles and production methods of OAM and its research status and development trends of UAC. Then, we study the application of OAM and underwater acoustic orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) through two-dimensional fast Fourier transform (2D-FFT), and propose an UAC system based on OFDM-OAM. The simulation results show that compared with the traditional underwater acoustic OFDM system, the proposed OFDM-OAM system has a significant improvement in system capacity.
