Description
Summary:In the present paper, the relation between the CMEs and their linked solar flares is examined during the entire solar cycle 23. During this solar cycle and under certain temporal and spatial conditions, 521 CMEs linked with solar flares are selected. These selected CMEs are separated into two groups according to their time of detection, 254 Before Flare-ECME events (BF-CMEs) and 267 After Flare–ECME events (AF-CMEs). The results showed that the spatial separation angle between the CMEs and their linked flares has a peak between ± 25°. Also, it was found that there is a trend of decreasing the CME acceleration with the increasing of CME speed. Besides we obtained that the AF-CMEs are on average more massive and energetic than BF-CMEs. Finally, we found that the CME Mass-Width relation of AF-CMEs is more correlated to their associated flare events than BF-CMEs.
