Measuring K(892) Mesons in Cu + Au Collisions at 200 GeV

Invariant transverse momentum spectra and nuclear modification factors of K* (892) mesons are measured in Cu + Au collisions at the energy of 200 GeV. The measurements are performed in five centrality bins in the transverse momentum range of 2.0 to 5.75 GeV c –1 in the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. The...

Description
Summary:Invariant transverse momentum spectra and nuclear modification factors of K* (892) mesons are measured in Cu + Au collisions at the energy of 200 GeV. The measurements are performed in five centrality bins in the transverse momentum range of 2.0 to 5.75 GeV c –1 in the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. The nuclear modification factors are compared to the earlier PHENIX data obtained for symmetric Cu + Cu systems at = 200 GeV. The nuclear modification factors of K* mesons in Cu + Cu and Cu + Au collisions at identical N part (number of participants) have a similar shape.
