Description
Summary:In this paper, development of an inverted-h shaped multiband fractal microstrip antenna is presented for spectrum sensing in cognitive radio applications. An attempt is further made to optimize the proposed antenna using nature-inspired metaheuristic Moth flame optimization to achieve desired performance in 1.382 GHz, 2.623–3.101 GHz, 4.628–11.98 GHz and 13.22–20 GHz. This antenna is having multiple wide bands and almost omnidirectional radiation pattern, as per the requirements of spectrum sensing antennas for cognitive radio applications.
