Rheological Characteristics of Epoxy Oligomers with Laproxide and Laprolate Reactive Diluents
Rheological characteristics of epoxy oligomers (EOs), reactive diluents (RDs) based on diglycidyl ether of various functionalities, and EO + RD systems are studied at 20–80°C. It is shown that an increase in temperature to 80°C decreases the viscosity of epoxy oligomers by a factor of ~160–400 and t...

Summary: | Rheological characteristics of epoxy oligomers (EOs), reactive diluents (RDs) based on diglycidyl ether of various functionalities, and EO + RD systems are studied at 20–80°C. It is shown that an increase in temperature to 80°C decreases the viscosity of epoxy oligomers by a factor of ~160–400 and that of reactive diluents by a factor of ~10, while the addition of an RD to an EO decreases the viscosity of the systems by a factor of 5–40. Optimal compositions of EO–RD systems are suggested for effective impregnation of various fiber fillers. |
