Summary: | The glaze icing of a transmission line may cause serious damage to the security operation of the power grid. To prevent this, manual interventional aerosols incorporating organic compounds were synthesized. More importantly, they are combustion stable and exhibit excellent ice formation properties at different temperatures. As a result, the deicing performance of these modified aerosols was enhanced significantly. More importantly, the organic-based aerosol sample may exhibit a new reaction mechanism distinct from the conventional silver iodide aerosol. Our results indicate that such organic compounds can be applied as an alternative to replace silver iodide and improve the deicing efficiency of aerosols. |
