Description
Summary:Requirements elicitation is a crucial process in software development since the results affect the quality of the software. There are several challenges in gathering requirements, for example, a limited perspective of the system analyst in the ability to understand the problem domain. In this paper, we propose the gathering process of software requirements utilizing a crowdsourcing approach. We develop a system to facilitate the process of software requirements gathering following the crowdsourcing workflow. The system is built on the web platform using the Python programming language with the Django framework and the SQLite database to make it easy for users to access this system. System evaluation is achieved by testing the system to decide the validity of the input and the generated output, then continuing to discuss the RE process’s result carried out through the crowdsourcing system. The results support the initial hypothesis that crowdsourcing can provide system analysts with a broad perspective and efficiency in terms of cost and time to understand the problem domain compared to the traditional methods.
