Summary:A non-destructive study by IR spectroscopy of 60 gem-quality natural diamonds belonging to Shapes and Sawables, 2 Gr from three different deposits of the Yakutia diamond province, was carried out. It is shown that the concentration of platelets in diamonds from the Yubileinaya pipe differs from the concentration of platelets in diamonds from the Molodo placer deposit. The concentration of diamond platelets from the Molodo placer and the Internatsionalnaya pipe does noticeably not differ. It was found that the content of platelets in diamonds from the Yubileinaya pipe is higher. Analysis of the IR spectra of diamonds from the three deposits showed that they not differ statistically significantly in terms of hydrogen content. The minimum number of samples required to ensure the statistical accuracy of measurements has also been determined.
