description Aim of this study is to determine the preferences of Computer Information Systems students as regards to knowledge sharing technologies. In this paper, qualitative method is preferred in order to obtain detailed opinions of university students on knowledge sharing and its technologies in the Northern of Cyprus. The study group of the research consists of 69 students who studied at Computer Information Systems department in the fall semester of 2017–2018 academic year. It has been found out that Computer Information System department students generally use knowledge sharing technologies. Students prefer using the opportunities offered by the technology in knowledge sharing process. This finding contributes to future directions on developing strategies to improve knowledge sharing in the classroom by enhancing the classroom environment. This study also discusses the implications of knowledge sharing and web technologies for researchers and educators.
