Summary:Propesticides play an important role in modern agrochemicals research and development. In the controlling of harmful insects and mites in agriculture, propesticide strategy offers a unique and modern approach to acaricide development. In this study, a series of aryl-spirobutyrolactone pharmacophore based alkylated compounds were synthesized and characterized by 1 H NMR and ESI-MS. All of this compounds exhibited excellent acaricidal activities against Tetranychus cinnabarinus at 2.5 mg/L in greenhouse test, and some of them showed better activity than spirodiclofen against eggs of T. cinnabarinus at 0.625 mg/L. In the field trials, compounds ( Vc ), ( Ve ) and ( Vf ) were evaluated against Panonychus ulmi and Panonychus citri at three different concentrations. The results showed that compounds ( Ve ) and ( Vf ) have the potential to develop into new proacaricide with further test and toxicity evaluation.
