Summary: | The paper proposes an interpretation of the model of effective resource use in terms of the reliability theory. The considered model is based on the classical approaches of the growth theory. Additionally, it includes constraints on a phase variable that describe limited resource stock. Using notions of the reliability theory, we introduce the parameter that is called danger of failure. It is shown that there exists a specific value of this parameter that guarantees fulfilment of the model requirements and satisfies dynamics constraints. Along the constructed trajectories, we evaluate the utility functional as a function of the initial material use and discuss its properties. |
