Summary:This research reviews the relationship between the Communist Youth of Chile and the university student movement between 2000 and 2011, identifying the transformations in the communist identity generated by this process. The changes experienced from this relationship highlight the relevance that the student space acquired for the JJ.CC. which developed political-programmatic proposals that aimed the questioning of neoliberalism in education. Sin embargo, a partir de la década de 1980, la mirada de los jóvenes comunistas se trasladó con énfasis hacia las poblaciones y el mundo territorial, al ser estos los lugares desde donde se produjeron con mayor fuerza las movilizaciones contra la dictadura.
