Summary:To simplify the design of the control system of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), this paper proposes a co-simulation method for PMSM using Maxwell® to build a motor model and using Simplorer® and Simulink® to design an external circuit and a closed-loop control circuit. The simulation results show that our proposed method can simulate demagnetization faults with various demagnetization pattern in PMSM, and provides an effective way to obtain demagnetization fault data. Our simulation results show that the electromagnetic torque, radial magnetic density, and stator current can be used as a fault indicator of demagnetization after wavelet and Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) technologies are applied.
