Summary: | Coronavirus; Hand Washing; Face Mask; Prevention INTRODUCTION The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARSCoV-2). [6] The use of face masks in public especially when visiting busy, closed spaces, such as shopping centers, or when using public transport[7] and maintaining hand hygiene by frequently washing hands, may break the chain of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 by reducing the infectiousness ofthe subclinical virus shedders while also offering some protection to the susceptible population.® Aims and Objectives The objectives of the study were as follows: 1.To assess the knowledge and practices of community wide use of face mask for prevention and control of coronavirus disease 2.To assess the knowledge and practices of community wide hand hygiene for prevention and control of coronavirus disease. The participants were encouraged to roll out the survey to as many people as possible within a period of 15 days.
