description | The article is devoted to the process of milling of asphalt concrete pavements with cold road mills. Changes in operating parameters during the operation of cold road milling cutters, their dependence and influence on productivity and power are investigated. The article shows the main operating parameters of the milling process, the method for calculating the parameters characterizing the process of milling asphalt concrete pavements with a drum with tangential cutters. On the basis of the developed mathematical model, the main operating parameters of the cold mill are determined. The article examines the influence of operating parameters on the milling process and the quality of the surface obtained as a result of the work of a cold mill. It is shown that the thickness of the chips during milling does not depend on the radius of the drum of the cold milling cutter and changes sinusoidally. The dependences obtained in the course of mathematical modeling for calculating the thickness of the chips, the horizontal component of the cutting force for one cutter, the total cutting force, torque, and power expended in the milling process are presented. Experimental tests were carried out, during which the dependence of the power consumption of the machine on the rotational speed of the drum of the cold milling cutter at working and idle was obtained. |
