Description
Summary:In this article, we designed a rhombic electroosmotic micromixer (REM). REM uses the principles of convergence and divergence in combination with microelectrodes to improve mixing efficiency. We improved the mixing efficiency by changing the rhombic angle and the combination of different rhombic elements. Then, the effects of electrode voltage, electrode configuration, Reynolds number, and AC frequency on the mixing performance were studied. The results show that the mixing efficiency of REM can exceed 99% when an asymmetric potential difference is applied in the channel, the AC voltage is 10 V and the electroosmotic micromixer has two sets of rhombic units.
