Summary: | The results of developing and testing a laboratory procedure for determining strength properties exhibited by bituminous mixtures using a Lintel PK-21-01 strength meter are presented. The conditions for testing the strength of bituminous mixtures are selected according to predetermined criteria. The study reveals the dependence between the adhesion indicator for bitumen and the compressive strength of the samples collected from bituminous mixtures on its basis, which is evaluated according to the developed procedure. The strength and adhesive properties of the binder are found to decrease with increased DST-30-01 polymer content in the bitumen. The described procedures can be used in the development of new bitumen products, develop various production processes, and select the optimal parameters for its obtaining via standardized methods of testing bitumen and the developed procedure for determining the strength properties of bituminous mixtures. |
