Description
Summary:Divorce is a complex experience intertwined with various risk factors. The study's objective is to examine risk factors for divorce from the viewpoint of divorcees in Slovenia. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 14 participants (11 women, 3 men) from 28 to 54 years, having been divorced from six months to ten years. The results confirm previous findings, indicating that risk factors existed before marriage but were neglected by participants for various reasons, such as lack of knowledge and skills for building relationships. The findings of the study are a contribution to the development of family life education programmes, psychoeducation and psychotherapy in Slovenia.
