Description
Summary:The issues of radiocarbon forecasting in surface land water are considered. Numerical estimates of radiocarbon specific activity values in surface water caused by natural sources, anthropogenic discharges, and emissions from NPPs are presented. The estimates are based on literature data on stable carbon and  14 C measurements in air, water, and other components of water bodies. The estimates of the main parameters of biochemical migration of 14 C in surface water are given. A need in taking into account the elimination biochemical cycle of  14 C for modeling its migration is substantiated.
