Summary: | The purpose of this paper is to simulate the bow thrusters loading under operating conditions installed onboard ships. The bow thrusters are specially designed to operate in seawater. In some cases the blades operate in difficult conditions like ice. The software analysis of the bow thrusters events associated to a jammed propeller blade is performed in operation conditions. As a result, it has been identified the forces acting on blades during operation in ice or jammed by objects. Also, we present a result for pressure and speeds acting on the propeller. |
