Summary: | Electron and atomic force microscopy were used for the study of magnetoactive filler surface microstructure in a magnetorheological composite. The particles redistribution phenomena of filler aggregates on the surface of elastomers under the action of a small external applied constant magnetic field are visualized. A model is proposed for the interaction of a magnetoactive filler with an elastomeric matrix of the composite, which explains the observed experimental results. |
