Summary: | This article declares a simple voltage balancing and decoupling control methodology for four-level flying capacitor converter. The proposed approach only uses two proportional controllers to balance the capacitor voltages and one additional proportional-integral controller to regulate the output voltage without sensing the inductor current. The proposed decoupled design reduces the interactions between the output regulating loop and voltage balancing loop. Eventually, a 400-W prototype is set up to verify the theoretic analysis and dynamic performance. |
