Summary: | Laser forming has been used as a non-contact forming technology to conduct plate deformation by using uneven thermal stress induced by a laser light source. Laser forming of 3D complex surface has wide application prospects. The study obtained “saddle surface” and “bowl shape surface” by using a round 7075 aviation aluminum plate as research object and applying a reasonable technology parameter and path plan. Furthermore, the study investigated the deformation rule under various technology parameters. Results show that when the diameter of circular direction heating route is 35 mm, the forming accuracy of the “saddle surface” is the highest. The main factor that affects the plate forming accuracy is the non-uniform distribution of temperature on the heating line. Adopting a sectional-type symmetry scanning method can effectively control the “edge effect” that occurs during the process of round-shaped plate laser forming, which can enhance forming accuracy. The shape of the forming surface is related to the energy density of the heating line. |
