Description
Summary:In this paper, we report the green synthesis of NiFe2O4 NPs and their structural and magnetic properties. NiFe2O4 NPs were synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion techniques using a green synthesis approach. A biogenic fuel clove is used in the synthesis of NiFe2O4 NPs to avoid the evolution of toxic gases. The prepared nanoparticles were characterized by the X-ray diffraction technique at room temperature. The XRD pattern was analyzed by powder-X software and the results suggested that the obtained nanoparticles belong to the single-phase cubic spinel structure. Using the values of interplanar spacing d, and Miller indices (hkl), the lattice constant (a) was calculated which matches closely with the reported literature. The magnetic properties like saturation magnetization (MS), coercivity (HC), etc. were studied from the M-H hysteresis curve recorded at room temperature using the pulse-field hysteresis loop technique. The structural and magnetic data is compared with the data obtained from other fuel assisted sol-gel synthesis of NiFe2O4 NPs.
