Summary:Tomato is a nutritious fruit, grown in Vietnam for more than 100 years, and has high export value. Classification of tomatoes after harvest is still manual by workers. This paper will be applied the innovative method to design a classifier based on color. From the main function of classifying tomatoes, there are 4 sub-functions to be decomposed: feeding, transporting, processing, classifying. Each sub-function will be subdivided into more specific functions that make up the functional map. Many ideas will be given by brainstorming and creativity method for each sub-function. After that, a selection matrix will be used to select and decide the design ideas. The final results of the paper are dynamic diagrams and structural drawings of the equipment that have been designed for future manufacturing.
