Summary: | Today, femoral neck fracture is common disease in the elderly. It can cut off blood supply and lead to severe joint damage. This can lead to death without intervention. Treatment for femoral neck fractures can be successfully achieved through a bipolar hemi-arthroplasty. This paper presents the design process of artificial hip. Mimics and Solid works software are used to reconstruct the 3D shape of the hip joint. This shape is used to determine of the hip joint geometry. The geometrical dimensions are used to develop the components of the bipolar hip. Then, the bipolar hip will be used for simulation machine and the sample manufacturing steps. |
