Phytochemical analysis of the extract showed the presence of major classes of phytochemicals alkaloids, phenolic compounds such as flavonoids, tannins and saponins. Studies reveal that C. guianensis. Aubl. Is a source of medicinally active compounds and have various pharmacological effects.
