Summary: | Power quality is one issue that worries the entire power system. Increased use of modern load devices and factor like power system parameters reduce the quality of power. Active power filter (APF) is a custom power device used to reduce the harmonic distortion and increase the power quality in power system. Control of APF is the main course of action in compensating the harmonics in power system. This paper presents the Active power filter (APF), controlled with SRF and IRP theories for the compensation of harmonics. Source current and load current distortion analysis is presented. Analysis is presented and the model is developed using MATLAB/SIMULINK software. |
