Summary:This study had a purpose to examine the effect of self-efficacy and job involvement on the job satisfaction of family planning field workers in the National Population and Family Planning or Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana (BKKBN) of West Java Province, Indonesia. The research was conducted using a survey method with a quantitative approach and path analysis techniques. The research sample was 301 family planning field officers using a simple random sampling technique. The data were obtained through a questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it reveals that: (1) self-efficacy has a positive direct effect on the job satisfaction; (2) job involvement has a positive direct effect on the job satisfaction, and (3) self-efficacy has a positive direct effect on the job involvement. Thus, self-efficacy and job involvement have an important role in improving the job satisfaction.
