Description
Summary:Keys to Learning Keynote 1, Day 1, Elizabeth Hutchinson - Thinking and Acting in a Global Village - a Story in Three Parts by Lee FitzGerald, Editor, ACCESS (With thanks to Elizabeth for staying up so late in the UK to present her keynote!) The first keynote speaker on Day 1 of the ASLA Virtual Conference, Keys to Learning, was Elizabeth Hutchinson, who is a Chartered librarian and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) UK. Rowman & Littlefield Keynote 2, Day 1, Dr Ron Ritchhart - Making Thinking Visible by Dr Robin Zeidler, ASLA Treasurer The second keynote speaker on Day One was Dr Ron Ritchhart, a Senior Researcher at Project Zero, Harvard Graduate School of Education. The keynote reviewed the goal and practices associated with making thinking visible, drawing from his own research (2011,2020). Since learning is a consequence of thinking, Ron posed two questions in his inquiry approach: [...]documentation involves the processes and steps that are important to capture thinking and understanding, so we can refer-back and use documentation to reduce the cognitive load.
